About Myself

I'm Hayashi, and I joined HIWIN as Vice President in February 2026. I look forward to working with you.

I joined Nomura Securities as a new graduate in 2015 and spent five years in retail sales, then moved on to serve for five years as a director at a rental real estate management company called Phoenix Management.

As in my previous role, I am entrusted with management responsibility as the head of organizational development and the cultivation of partner companies, and I am expected to help expand the facilities HIWIN operates.
The expertise I gained in rental real estate management is tremendously useful in lodging operations as well—it is no exaggeration to say it forms the very foundation of my thinking. Drawing on that expertise, I want to achieve leaner, more efficient operations and translate that into comfortable experiences for our guests.

What are HIWIN's goals?

We currently operate lodging facilities totaling about 3,000 rooms, and we aim to be operating 15,000 rooms by 2036.

Increasing the number of facilities we operate contributes positively to efficient operations and hotel branding, but it can also upset the balance between supply and demand.

Even for us, as one of the largest operators of apartment hotels in Japan, this is a highly challenging goal.

What is the vision you want to realize?

I want to bring inspiring experiences to even more travelers who come to stay with us.

Beyond the experience at our own facilities, I want to take genuine ownership in creating memories of the journey and reducing the stresses of travel, and in solving those problems.

What kind of people do you want to work with?

I want to work with people who want to solve problems at their essence. Rather than working on the basis of whether the company will give them credit for it, or whether they first need to smooth things over with someone, I want to work with people who want to reach the heart of the matter quickly.

Another thing: I want to work with people who have the strength to pause and reflect on themselves.

The smarter, more accomplished, and quicker to grasp things a person is, the weaker that strength to reflect tends to grow.

Everyone makes mistakes, but for your own growth it is important to stop, step back, and reflect.
